* A BRITISH 1803 PATTERN GRENADIER INFANTRY or FLANK OFFICER'S SWORD WITH BLUE & GILT BLADE,
circa 1805, with strongly curved single edged 28in. blade, false edged for the last 9in., the first three-fifths of the blade covered with gilded floral, royal and martial motifs on a blued ground, pierced and gilded boat-shaped cross-guard running into the gilded knucklebow further pierced with a Georgian royal cypher and carved with a flaming grenade, finely moulded carved and gilded lions-head pommel, wire-bound sharkskin grip-piece and loose ring for knot, together with its original black leather scabbard with pierced and gilded mounts (some mounts loose on scabbard, some wear to gilding throughout)
